Our engagements

We fully appreciate the need to approach service delivery in a flexible way and we structure our proposals accordingly. For example, we can cater for:

  • Secondment arrangements (i.e. a resource extension of your current team) - to support a particular project or work stream.

  • Virtual sole counsel arrangements - the commercial and pragmatic advice you would expect of an employed sole counsel lawyer but engaging for either a set period or on-call when you most need the support. In this type of role, we typically deal with all areas within our wheelhouse and manage other external lawyers for anything else.

  • Mixed location arrangements – We are flexible about where work is carried out. We tend to work remotely but do suggest at least some initial on-site attendance, particularly where kicking off a transaction and for certain types of meetings.

  • Traditional outsourced legal advice and support - some organisations prefer the tried-and-tested approach to the outsourcing of legal work (i.e. specific matter engagements on either a traditional time costing or fixed fee basis). We’ve been there and get it - you just need a particular matter quoted and supported!

We always try to provide our clients with real options. We understand the preferences for different models and can accommodate hourly rates, day rates, fixed fee components, capped components and volume discounting models.

From years of experience, we've learnt the value in having a real conversation with clients early on about what fee model or mix of fee models might work best for their business - Legal services should not be viewed as a one-size-fits-all!
